Aspen/Snowmass, Colo., - March 30, 2013 - The second weekend of Bud Light Spring Jam kicked off Friday evening at the Bud Light Hi-Fi Core Party with a highly energetic and dynamic performance by MarchFourth Marching Band at the base of Aspen Mountain. The Spring fun continued with the Helly Hansen Battle in the Bowls race at Aspen Highlands under sunny spring skies.

Helly Hansen Battle in the Bowls challenges teams of two to ski/ride the many bowls of Aspen Highlands as quickly and strategically as possible on a course designed by one of Aspen/Snowmass' favorite local athletes, Chris Davenport. The competition welcomes athletes at many different levels as there was a recreational division in addition to a competitive division.

Local stars and fraternal twins, John and Pete Gaston came out for their favorite event of the season and captured first place. "The Battle in the Bowls is a super fun and unique race that really puts to test how well rounded a skier you are," says the Gaston twins. "It tests both your hiking and skiing ability and brings out a great collection of skiers and snowboarders that enjoy a friendly competition on a great spring day."
