Initial rumors have turned out to be true: US rookie Nolan Kasper has changed his equipment sponsor and found the perfect partner in Fischer Sports. "I wanted to try out something new, that was what motivated me. The Fischer package was the best choice for me and will certainly help me to take the next steps in my career!"
New challenge: developing Giant Slalom
Kasper, who took everyone by surprise and celebrated his first podium finish in
the World Cup in Kranjska Gora (SLO) in 2011, is looking forward to the new
challenge but not putting himself under any pressure: "My goal is to ski well
again in the preparations. It's important to have fun and be fast of course in the
races." Besides his strongest discipline Kasper also wants to pick up some
points in Giant Slalom in the upcoming season: "I'm looking forward to working
on my potential in GS as well."
Fisher signs for Fischer
In addition to the technical specialist a downhill racer has also joined Fischer.
It is, however, pure coincidence that Erik Fisher (USA) has the same name as
his equipment sponsor. But nothing else has been left to chance. "We need a
strong speed specialist in the US ski team besides Steven Nyman. It's easier to
make progress and test in a team," says Fischer Racing Director Siegi
Voglreiter, praising the new signings. "Kasper and Fisher are the ideal additions
to our current USA team together with Jitloff, Nyman, Ford and Brandenburg.
We're ready to race!"
